If Jesus… #3

In the roar of engines and the scent of petrol, Jesus1 rides forth once more. His leather-clad form is crowned by a helmet – a sacred shield2 against the wind’s fury. And on that helmet, a cross gleams, catching the sun’s rays like a beacon of hope.

The helmet itself is no ordinary gear. Its surface tells stories etched in silver and gold: the parables of old, the miracles performed, and the love that transcends time. The cross is not merely a decoration; it’s a reminder of sacrifice and salvation.

As he leans into curves, the cross remains steadfast, casting shadows on his face. The wind tries to snatch it away, but it clings – a testament to unwavering faith. And when rain falls, each droplet becomes a blessing, washing away doubts and fears.

The motorcycle’s engine hums a hymn, harmonizing with the cross. It’s not just a mode of transportation; it’s a vessel for grace. The wheels spin, tracing patterns of compassion on the tarmac. Wherever the Holy Rider goes, healing follows.

And the world? It watches in awe. Some see a biker; others glimpse eternity. They feel a warmth – an inexplicable comfort – as if the road has become a pilgrimage.

So, next time you’re stuck in traffic, look beyond the chrome and leather. Seek the rider with the cross-adorned helmet. He’ll nod, acknowledging your journey, and whisper, “Peace be with you.”

And in that moment, you’ll know: The Holy Rider rides not just for himself, but for all who seek redemption on this winding motorway of existence.

Peace be with you.

Note: This story is a playful blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary, reminding us that sometimes, wisdom can be found in the most unexpected places.
  1. John 1:14
    (NKJV) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth
    (RV60) Y aquel Verbo fue hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre, lleno de gracia y de verdad. ↩︎
  2. Ephesians 6:10-17
    (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
