If Jesus… #1

In the bustling streets of today’s world, Jesus dons a leather jacket with a simple silver cross on the lapel and denim jeans.

His sandals? Swapped for sturdy motorcycle boots. His flowing hair streamed behind him in the slipstream of time. The wind whips through his beard as he leans into the curves, eyes focused on the horizon.

The bike? A custom-built bobber, chrome gleaming in the sunlight. Its tank bears a hand-painted mural: the Last Supper1, reimagined with disciples in leather vests, sharing a meal at a roadside diner. The exhaust pipes sing hymns of freedom and the engine roars like a sermon echoing through the canyons.

As he rides, Jesus spreads love and compassion. At traffic lights, he blesses fellow riders with a nod and a smile. His saddlebags carry loaves of bread and fish, modern-day miracles for the hungry. And when he stops, he heals broken engines and wounded hearts alike.

His mission? Not just to turn water into wine, but to turn petrol into hope. To remind us that grace isn’t confined to stained glass windows – it’s out here on the open road, where the tarmac meets eternity.

So, if you ever see a bearded figure on a motorcycle, dark shades reflecting the sun like a halo, know that it might just be the Holy Rider, weaving through traffic, spreading love, and leaving tyre tracks of compassion.

Peace be with you.

Note: This story is a playful blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary, reminding us that sometimes, wisdom can be found in the most unexpected places.
  1. Matthew 26:26-29
(NKJV) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
