Amidst tempests that rage, a rugged cross stands resolute. The heavens weep, their tears merging with the rain-soaked earth. The air crackles with tension as if the very cosmos mourns.
Jesus, arms outstretched, bears the weight of humanity’s sins1. His face, etched in agony, gazes upward. The storm swirls around Him, a maelstrom of darkness – inky blacks, slate greys, and midnight blues. The cross, splintered and worn, seems to groan under its burden.
Yet, from the heart of the storm, a divine light pierces through. A golden shaft, radiant and unwavering, illuminates His features. It dances across His brow, casting shadows that tell tales of suffering and redemption.
And there, at the foot of the cross2, a solitary figure stands. A seeker, perhaps – a lost soul drawn by the paradox of pain and promise. Their eyes, wide and searching, meet Jesus’s eyes. In that shared gaze, questions and answers collide.
The storm rages on, but within its chaos lies a sacred stillness. The cross becomes a bridge between worlds – the earthly and the eternal. And Jesus, suspended between heaven and earth, offers salvation3 to all who dare to look up, to ask God for freedom, peace and true love.
Peace be with you.
