A new Bible to use

Hello from a sunny Norfolk.

I just wanted to let you guys know, that recently I came across a Bible I had not seen before. After reading through many of the verses I felt confident enough to let you know.

The Bible I am trying out is “The New Testament for Everyone” which is translated by Tom Wright. Published in paperback (hardback also available) by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK) here in the UK; (www.spck.org.uk). ISBN 978-0-281-08380-0

I’ll let you all know how it goes and whether or not it suits my style of storytelling. So if you fancy taking a look at this Bible, then I would recommend it if you are looking for a clearer and modern language Bible that looks like it might be useful for the new Christian.

For now, though I will be sticking (old habits are hard to break) with my good old New King James Version, which my Minister at the time – Rev. John Peters – presented to me at my Full Membership of Christ’s church – on 10/01/1999.

Feel free to reply to this post with your thoughts if you have already used this Bible, it will surely help others know of its use in making the Bible more approachable.

Peace be with you.
